Jennifer Matotek has held curatorial and administrative positions at the Dunlop Art Gallery, Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, and the Art Gallery of Hamilton. She has curated numerous exhibitions for galleries and artist-run centres across Canada.

Her work as a video artist has been shown internationally.

Matotek’s writing has been published by Black Dog Publishing, Momus, YYZ Artists’ Outlet, Gallery 44, Vtape, and Magenta, among others.

Jennifer Matotek holds an MA in Art History from York University and a Diploma in Curatorial Studies. She completed an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, York University.

Her other cultural interests include contemporary dance, improv comedy, and music (drum and piano). When not working, she likes to snuggle with her family (particularly her cats), and enjoys traveling, reading, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and playing video games.
